Join us on a Jack Petchey-funded residential for 5 days as you explore the wonderful outdoors of the Brecon Beacons!

Who are The Jack Petchey Foundation and why are they funding this?

The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up to inspire and motivate young people across Essex and London. With the effects of the pandemic on young people’s mental and physical health, and the chance for them to experience residentials in places they may not think to visit have been greatly affected. As restrictions drop and opportunities come back for young people, the foundation has come to organisations like the Essex Boys and Girls Clubs to utilise our outdoor centres and deliver residentials for young people.

Outdoor education and exercise have been an integral part of the EBGC over the last 83 years, and in April 2014 we took over the Maes y Lade Centre in the Brecon Beacons in Wales to continue providing opportunities for young people to experience something new.

These residential are run throughout the year during February, Easter, May, and Summer Holidays with transport available if needed.
