Rotary Young Leaders Award 2010!

Twelve young people took part in the residential stage of this year’s Rotary Young Leader Award up at High Row in the Lake District.  Over five days the young people took part in an activity programme that looked to challenge and push people out of there comfort zones.   The Mountainous environment providing a great arena for learning about themselves and each other.   The award at the end of the week went to Michael Thomas so congratulations to him and all the young people on their efforts throughout the week!    You can see a few of the photos from the week by clicking on the facebook icon above.

 


 

Summer Camp - Read Tyler's Report!

Sam Woodgate who is part of our senior member programme and also a volunteer at the West Bergholt Youth Group is in the USA for three weeks as part of the EBGC exchange with Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The Big Cycle Lands End to John O'Groats - Read the Report!

Over eleven days, eight riders made up of Senior Members, EBGC Staff and EBGC supporters made it their aim to cycle a thousand miles from Lands End in the very south west of Cornwall to John O’Groats at the very north east of Scotland.  Resting on various Boys and Girls Clubs gym floors overnight and powered on by Warburton’s Fruit Loaf everyone kept going through the aches and pains to make it to the finish.  We were supported by a back up team of Ron and Dave Shelton and.... 300 Young People Enjoy EBGC Adventure Weekend

Over 300 young people from 20 different clubs enjoyed a superb weekend of water and land based activities on the hottest weekend of the year at Stubbers Adventure Centre in Upminster.
The camp site was packed to capacity with catering provided in Chestnut and Oak camps and a number of other groups setting up their own tents and catering for themselves..
