On 17th June 2012, you'll meet the bus for a (very) early start at Stubbers Adventure Centre in Upminster, then get as much sleep as you can during the drive to Scotland, where you'll start your challenge with a climb of Ben Nevis. After this warm up you'll be back in the bus for a few hours before you tackle Scafell Pike in the Lake District. After this you're off to Wales for a gentle stroll up Snowdon, before returning in the bus to Upminster.
Joking aside, this unique challenge is both arduous and demanding, so only fit individuals should attempt it. Do not underestimate the scale of the challenge - you will get very little sleep during a 36 hour period and will walk the equivalent distance of a marathon whilst climbing over 10,000 feet. It is very achievable with a moderate level of fitness - the challenge is really a test of determination and drive. You'll be accompanied throughout by a qualified and suitably experienced mountain leader, whose instruction you are expected to follow for your own safety.
We take a small group so as to minimise our impact on the local environment, so places are limited.
To register, download this form and send it to us, with a £50 cheque to book your place on the bus.
You'll need to bring:
> sponsorship, a minimum of £150 but more is very welcome!
> personal equipment ie: walking boots, waterproofs, spare clothing, basic first aid kit, torch, thermos, watch, penknife, hat, gloves and enough food to get you through the challenge.
> survival bag and whistle (essential)
